This Privacy Policy describes how Alerta Family, Inc. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use the Alerta Family mobile application (the “App”), Alerta Home connected devices (the “Devices”), and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Important Notice (HIPAA / PHI): We do not design Alerta Home for the collection or processing of Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA, and we do not provide clinical diagnosis, medical treatment, or emergency services. Our products are intended for general wellness, safety, and caregiving awareness.
2. Information We Collect
Alerta Home devices do not include cameras, microphones, or recording functionality.
We may collect the following categories of information:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We do not use Device & Sensor Data for advertising.
4. Who May Access Your Information
Access is limited to authorized personnel and trusted service providers who require it to perform legitimate business functions.

We may share limited information:
- With service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, notification delivery) who process information on our behalf.
- For legal reasons, if required by law or to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or our Services.
- During a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate privacy protections.
We do not share personal information for third-party advertising purposes.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- We keep account and Device data only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
- You may request that we delete your account and personal information. In such cases, information is deleted or anonymized, except where retention is required or permitted by law.

While no system can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information.
